Mission

The Mission Department at the DNU holds community outreaches, retreats and conferences for youth and clergy. It includes the Women's Development Center, youth ministry and the Mothers' Union.


Women's Development Centre:


The WDC is a training center for formerly abducted girls. The girls learn tailoring and Hairdressing  skills and receive trauma counseling. Upon graduation from the one-year program, the girls are presented with a sewing machine to begin their new careers. The WDC currently has 97 students. The centre has been shifted to Awo in Omoro Archdeaconry.

Youth Ministry:


The DNU hosts chaplains to minister at the local schools. The Diocese also hosts programs, trainings, and seminars for the students throughout the year. 


Mothers' Union:


The Mothers' Union works to improve the quality of life for women in the district. The Mothers' Union runs the Women's' Development Centre.
