Joel Rosenthal made a lay Canon at St.Philips Cathedral, Diocese of Northern Uganda on Sunday 6th August 2023 by Bishop Godfrey Loum. The ceremony was well attended. Joel promised to truly and faithfully observe the laws and Canons of the Diocese of Northern Uganda and to take care of the status and laudable customs of the church.
Joel is part of a team of faithful Christian from Kansas-United States of America.
Rev. Patrick Wildman encouraged Christians to stand firm and avoid being judgmental, he said the judgement chair is too big for ordinary human beings. He therefore asked Christians to help one another instead of judging.
The function was well attended by Christians from within and a team from St. Francis Chapel Makerere University and Kansas-USA.
The installation of Joel now brings the number of lay canons in the Diocese of Northern Uganda to five, these are Canon John Stephen Odong Onyango, Christine Onyango, Doreen Avola, Abednego Ongom and now Joel Rosenthal.
